Heath Fire and Police department have a mock auto accident in the parking lot of the Heath High School in Heath Ohio on Fridday May 14 2010. we do this every year for the students for prom promise to not drink and drive, this year we made it as real as possible and the FD and PD staged at the end of the drive and the call was dispatched from the Licking County 911 Center, we ran lights and siren to the scene and even had a hurst haul off the Doa, the parents got involved as well, the DOA's mom had to ID the body and the DUI drivers mom tried to stop the PD from putting the cuffs on her daughter, the students gat an eye opening reallity check on what can happen if you DRINK and DRIVE...... thanks to the crew from Med-Flight 4, Licking Twp. 2nd Alarm Building Fire Loch Lynn 12-18-10
On 12/18/2010 at approximately 2200 hours Allegany County Communications dispatch Engine 361 and Engine 221 mutual aid to Garrett County for a working apartment building fire. The 3 story apartment building was located on West 1st Ave in Loch Lynn near Oakland, MD. The multiple alarm fire brought unit from several counties and two states. Garrett County 911 dispatched Company 40, Engine 23, Engine 122, Engine 161 (RIT), Air 3, Ambulance 9-1 to 10 West 1st St in Loch Lynn at 1917 hours. Dispatch received numerous calls reporting a working fire on the 3rd floor. Captain 40 arrived on the scene and reported a working fire. Chief 40A (Rook) arrived on the scene and quickly reported that all occupants were out of the apartment building. Captain 40 requested an additional Truck out of station 120. Engine Rescue 43 and Truck 44 responded from Station 40. Engine 31 transferred to Station 40. Truck 44 arrived an took up a position on Side "A". Engine Rescue 43 hit a hydrant at Alderson St and W 1st Ave and supplied Truck 44. Engine 23 supplied Truck 124 on Side "C". Chief 40 (Feather) established the 1st Ave Command with Chief 40A (Rook) assuming operations. Due to a limited water supply from the hydrant system, Command requested 4 tankers to be dispatched on the assignment. Tankers from Station 40, 120, 130, and 200 were dispatched to the scene.
